Pinnacle is a popular tabletop game company that has thousands of products for sale in dozens of categories and genres. Their old website was no longer working for them, and they wanted a new, extensible template that would allow them to expand in the future and also make it easy for customers to sort through and purchase their products.
In addition to a website design, they needed assistance with cleaning up and organizing their huge product catalog and rolling out new options for purchasing and shipping. This back-end refresh proceeded alongside the front-end redesign, so all of the new features could roll out at once.
The main page needed to have quick links for new players, a large slider for a featured product or active Kickstarter campaign, and a blog feed. The second major hurdle on the front end was creating a layout to showcase their more than two dozen product lines in an attractive way, which the President, Shane Hensley, referred to as the “Wall of Wonder.”
I had a great time working with all of the fine folks at Pinnacle for this project, and seeing the positive responses from customers when the new look and more accessible layout went live.
